notes on the chaos april 28, 2009

Keith,

So here's the latest in the saga of the Graham Fam:

My dad decided after meeting Lisa to discontinue paying for my therapy sessions.  I'm on my own from here on out.  Guess I'm gonna wing it.

Dad and I are not exactly at each other's throats, but to date, my dad and i have not been able to resolve our differences.  Basically, we just avoid each other.

I registered for the NY bar and ordered my bar materials.  They should arrive any day now.  Joy!

In extracurricular news, much to my surprise, my band, The Virgin Destroyers, fell into place and kicked ass at our inaugural show @ Egan's last Thursday night.  We made $100 @ Egan's on a Thursday night in the Spring.  Unheard of.

I've been writing songs and the band's been practicing like crazy.  We're pretty damn good if I do say so myself.  I either write or co-write all the songs.  I also play keyboard and sing.

This Thursday, April 30, we're playing The Nick and I'm super psyched for that.  So far so good.

As for the "PLAN" my dad keeps asking me about...I don't have a plan set in stone because there are a number of variables that could alter said plan and then I'd be back at square one.  The only way for me to survive is to take things one step at a time, day by day.

Holler back

jen

p.s. i almost forgot, May 11 @ the Bottletree in b'ham, I'm screening all the films I've worked on with Jason Keener...the filmmaker ingenue from Anniston...

It'll be a pretty big deal.  He knows he's the best and I'm starting to find that again within myself

I've been working out.  Smoking less and less cigs and not drinking very much lately compared to the intoxication of last fall.  Yowzers.

Feel like I'm back on track, for now
